Theme Music for Diversion

In my upcoming novel Diversion, the hero, Lucky, was raised on a North Carolina tobacco farm and likes classic rock music. However, a wealthy former lover introduced him to some of the finer things in life, and as a result, he has  bittersweet memories of Pachelbel's Canon in D Major, the "music that played on his elevator ride to Hell."

I thought I'd share Lucky's odd obsession. Enjoy!

  1. The Pachelbel canon is a favorite of mine, too.
By the way, trivia: Did you know that this piece of music is said to be the "Mother of all popsongs" ?
    Go to http://neponet.de/individuell/roc/downloads/Pachelbel_Kanon_Bearbeitungen.pdf

to find some of her "children"
(even the National Anthem of the USSR was based on Pachelbel)

  2. Hi Feliz! Your comment did show up. I was worried about that.

I fell in love with this piece of music long ago, and it fueled a nearly obsessive exploration of classical music. Listening to it now brings back incredible memories.

I'm checking out that link. Thanks!
