I LOVE my proofreaders!

Writing a book is only one small part of turning words into something others want to read. After the (very) rough draft is done, the crit partners point out plot holes, logic fails, etc.

So, then the author polishes the book. Next comes editing, beta reading, and proofreading. (Yes, these are different.) And no matter how well the words are combed over, nobody's perfect, so mistakes get through.

Over the years I've cringed upon finding something that should be obvious that I'd let slip by.

But I've finally outdone myself  with Reunion.

I'd already sent out a few advanced review copies when a dear friend caught a huge, I mean HUGE mistake. Granted, reviewers know that ARC copies might not be the final version that will release to the public, but even so... FACEPALM.

Lucky made Bo breakfast in bed and served him scrambled eyes. My eagle-eyed friend is still laughing. But the file is now fixed, and I can assure you, dear readers, that  when Reunion releases on August 19 that Bo will no longer eat eyes.

But as my friend said, "If you're going to make a typo, make a really GOOD typo."

I shall never live this down. However, after she finished laughing, my friend said, "Hey, it could be worse," and sent me this link.

Then she resumed her laughter.

Anyway, Reunion is now available on pre-order at Amazon. Find it (without scrambled eyes) here:

And a big shout out to my crit partners, betas, and editor for preventing such errors being unleashed upon an unsuspecting world.

Reunions can be murder.

A dial tone instead of a human voice announced Lucky’s ousting from the Lucklighter clan over twelve years ago. After living a life of crime. After testifying against his drug lord lover. After receiving a ten-year sentence. Ah, hell. Lucky would’ve disowned himself too.

Now life’s better. He’s done his time and earned a place in the Southeastern Narcotics Bureau’s Department of Diversion Prevention and Control. He has a house. He has Bo, his partner both on and off the job. And pets. But not his folks. The worst part? He’s not sure exactly why they disowned him. Too late now—they think he’s dead.

Now his father needs a gift only Lucky can give. And Lucky’s family has something that may destroy all he believes:

The truth.

Diversion Six is Coming Closer and Closer to Release Day!

I still don't have a firm publish date for Reunion (Diversion 6). Hey, I'm still wrapping my head around a so-called "stand alone" story spawning a series!

So, may I present the Reunion blurb?
