New Link to Site

At long last I decided to get with the program and obtain my own domain name. For now, my blogger link still works, but in three days time, it'll transition over to www.edenwinters.com. Now to spiff it up a bit and make it purdy....

A Lovely Book for a Worthy Cause....

The It Gets Better Project is near and dear to my heart, and I know to many of yours, as well, so I'll happily to whatever I can to further their goals. The topic below is reposted by permission of Alessia Brio, cover artist extraordinaire:

Good morning, y'all. I hope you'll indulge me this rare post. As many of you are aware, I publish the Coming Together charity anthology series.

While our latest project IS a book, it's a blank one -- a hardcover journal entitled Over the Rainbow. I think it's BE-YOO-TEE-FULL. Proceeds benefit the It Gets Better Project. It's totally kid safe, too. No mention whatsoever of Coming Together's naughtier endeavors.

The right side of the pages are lined & the left sides are blank for sketching. On every 3rd blank page, there's an inspirational quote. Terrific gift!

It's available now via Lulu, but will soon trickle through to Amazon, B&N, etc.

Anyhoo, take a look. If you are so moved, please pass along the link. Thanks muchly!

Valentine Wish - a sequel to The Wish

With February fourteenth just around the corner, Valentine's stories hover on the horizon. Although I don't have a new one this year, for those of you who read The Wish, and were intrigued by Thierry, Anton, or both, there's a short story of featuring these two, called Valentine Wish.

Here's the blurb:

Anton Lewis left the streets and the gangs behind, remaking himself into an honest man. He has a steady job and an acquired family, but an empty bed. Anton’s Valentine’s and birthday wish is for a lover with some meat on his bones. He’s had his eye on the owner and chef of his favorite restaurant, but Anton has shied away from reaching out.

Chef Thierry Guillaume wants to be a lover, not a fighter, but love has been elusive and the fight has come to him. Pity the fool who attacks Thierry behind the restaurant, because Anton has forgotten nothing of his street smarts and is more than ready to rush to Thierry's aide, just in time for a Valentine's surprise.

Review for Same Time Next Year

Same Time Next Year, a short story I wrote for Halloween, received a very thought-provoking review today on Brief Encounters. It really pointed out things to me that are so true, but that I didn't see at the time I wrote the story.

A Sequel to The Match Before Christmas

When I wrote The Match Before Christmas, I intended it as a one time visit into the world of Barry Richards and Adam Collins. Then, readers began commenting that they'd like to know more about these two.

Fanning the Flames, at approximately 13,000 words, has just been submitted for publication. Although it couldn't possibly make a pre-Valentine's Day date, it does center around that holiday. And as bumbling as Barry is trying to meet a man, can you just imagine him fumbling his way through gift selection in keeping with Adam's "let's take it slow" policy? Poor Barry, I brought him back only to torture him some more.
