A Thousand Word Thursdays at Cryselle's Craziness

Every Thursday at Cryselle's Craziness a new picture is posted meant to inspire a brief story. Crys calls it "Thousand Word Thursday." The story can be a one hundred word drabble, a short story of up to 1,000 words, or even a poem.

When someone dangles a plot bunny before my nose I have a hard time passing it up, and last week's picture was downright intriguing. My  take on the photo posted today.

Here's the link:

If you'd like to participate, check out the site on Thursdays for the latest inspiration, let your creativity flow, and send the results to Crys. Not only will she post your story, if you're a published author she'll promote your latest releases and other news, so it's great publicity and a lot of fun.

  1. That's so sad....Do you write HAPPY ones for these things ever? First that war story now this!

  2. I did write a happy poem for one, called "First We Were Friends."

That airplane picture just brought to mind unrequited love to me. Maybe next time I'll be inspired to write a happy story. You did remind me, however, that I'd intended to write a followup to the war story. Maybe it wasn't the end after all.

  3. Hey, Eden managed to to kill anyone in three separate pieces!

    It is so sweetly sad.

  5. I don't know. The implication is there that fly boy didn't come back.

  6. True, but not because he got shot down; he was a bit sneaky... He ought to rethink that.
